A lot of changes made to my website, do i have to refresh the SITEMAP?

Hi everyone
I appriciate anyone that drops by,
Today I have made a lot of changes to my site ei: removed 5 pages and converted them to blog posts instead, renamed 3 existing pages.

would I have to refresh or re upload my sitemap? google webmaster is showing some error links for some past posts and pages I have deleted awhile back so perhaps it is time to refetch or reupload?

Yes, you should reupload your sitemap file.

  You don't have to, but then again google wouldn't have put a section for sitemaps in Webmaster Tools if they weren't important right? Probably best to keep your sitemap updated.

You must re-upload and also make sure you remove broken links before you do that.

Yeah. Do this efficiently. Just create and New sitemap xml and check with your old one. Make sure there is no dynamic or broken links in it.

Upload a updated sitemap.
However you may still see the errors. The errors will take time to get removed from your web master account.
