How to get new links indexed in the search engines?

Hello,

I have recently have been using Angela's and Paul's link building monthly services -- where they give you 30 / 50 high PR websites to drop a link onto.

A good number of them, are user profile pages on a website, and you get an address at the site /profile/username as a permalink.

You are putting the links into the bio or about me box, or some have a space for websites.

However, my question is -- do these get indexed on there own if all you do is make your profile page and then never use the website?

What I have been doing is using bookmarking demon (which is a social submission program) to submit every URL i drop my link on, onto low PR scuttle and pligg websites, in a means to get the spiders to them and get them indexed.

Do you think that is smart or a bit to black hattish?

Joe

Perhaps you're going for quantity over quality, meaning it sounds like your not focusing on your niche as much as perhaps is needed. Just my 2 cents.

I'm not sure what you mean, the backlink guide I am speaking of is released by angela, and has great feedback on this forum. It is only 30 backlinks per month in her list, that would be only one per day.

I don't think you understood my question.

I bought all of Angela's list as well as Paul List - And my link builders are noticing that a lot of these links are getting deleted by moderators when you put your keyword as your anchor. I see Angela gets away with it because she is using Angela as her anchor (not so obvious) Are you experiencing this to?

They will be crawled by the SE on their own but the way you mentioned is also right to make SE aware of these new links quickly. Good thinking !

I think that people use social bookmarks a little carelessly, because they are fairly easy. It is important to bookmark relevant, quality content, not just some profile on some site (what value do you offer others in the social bookmark community with those bookmarks?). I know greyhat and blackhat folks see it very differently.

There are other ways to ensure that your pages are noticed by the search engines. One that worked quite well for us in the past was to create a blogger blog and post links (with anchor text!) to the pages we wanted noticed. Google used to crawl Blogger like crazy - don't know if that is still true, but I suspect it is. Any blog with a ping list will notify the search engines of your new post, and even though it just contains links and descriptions (we called them "resources") the SEs would follow them.

Even if Google doesn't crawl Blogger as much as it used to, it can still work. I don't recall if Blogger has an RSS feed or pinglist (we outsourced this for our clients) but if so, then it will still work. Otherwise, you might need to create a Yahoo pipe that submits your RSS feed from Blogger. You could also put up a simple WP blog as well, with a good pinglist, and do the same thing. Don't try to "rank" the blog for anything - it isn't necessary or desirable.

The drawback with Blogger is that they tend to delete blogs, forcing you to either create new ones or, like I say above, host your own WP blog (with its own domain) just for the purpose.

      Best Regards, Georgetta

To be honest with you Joe, it is a little black hat. There is nothing wrong with creating a profile and submitting your anchor text/url on your profile. These sort of websites have thousands of pages. It is not like you are making a spam comment in a forum or article. I too am one of Angela's subscribers. Imagine getting a PR 7 link from prweb.com It costs $80 to submit your press release and get a link.

@ Weddingseoblog, well those sites from angela tells you to drop a link in forums, blog comments and yes they do delete your links if they are commercial. In Angela case it is not that the keywords count, what important is her site is not commercial. A bunch of photos about herself. More importantly, 1.) some of them are not relevant to your niche
2.) In angela case, she is only showing the PR on the domain and not the linking page. What's important is the linking page Page Rank and not the domain PR. That's most people misunderstand the concept.

No I think we all clearly understand that ... but she has proven that if done ENOUGH, it still works. Meaning the interior pages of a PR7 site seem to work rather effectively and more so than being actually on a page that has PR3 .. or just as well lets say.

The issues I have with that system is ... T-I-M-E.

It takes a good long while to find a thread or place to comment - figure out how to log in setup an account etc ... only to find the mod doesnt approve or later nukes your link. Or the site admins move the link off to some dead space .. .and perhaps they change the pages there to NoFollow from DoFollow cuz they get pissed with mad spammers ...
