I got approached by a company called logical solutions, they say they are a third party ads words management company "claiming" that for 300 dollars a month they can have my ad run ALL MONTH LONG for "New Orleans Weddings" and "new orleans wedding venues" (one problem) it's 2.92 per click and I've tried 700 bucks and just targeted New Orleans and it only lasted me 19 days. Can some tell me if IM ROYALLY Screwing something up, or is this company lying through their teeth ??????

Whatever absurd thing to believe that someone outside of one's self can be better at certain things. Just playing with you a little bit, but it's a true thing I often find myself asking the same question.

When I remove my ego from the situation, I can begin to understand that perhaps companies dedicated to providing a particular solution with a track record of success may know a thing or two that I perhaps have not discovered.

In fact this is the reason why I test services myself. I often invest in sourcing and testing services to handle all of this for me.

Although I o continue to do it myself, as well as have my team began to chip away at the cost of each click.

I would hate to miss out on the opportunity to be able to streamline and cut down on expenses at a more active pace.

So truly say test for yourself to see whether or not they can provide what they are promising.

Overtime is your testing different services and providers It will become easier and more intuitive to tell whether or not they can provide their promises.

There is a good chance its a bit of both. To be honest there are some companies out there that will run exact match phrases that get very low traffic. Yes it is targeted but also very low traffic. On your own you are likely running phrase and broad match which will result in a much higher volume of traffic. Likely getting you terms you don't want as well though. There are plenty of ways to get a fully optimized campaign. I would definitely recommend getting an assessment of your account from someone you can put some trust in. I've found in my years consulting that if they say they can run it for that price it's usually not going to get good results.

Thanks bro. Maybe I'll give em a try I just fear that-- Yes my ad might run on the first page but it might be on the side or bottom instead of the top were I want it to.

But thanks for the advice ... I'm always willing to listen.

    Hi thatdude123,

I wouldn't say they are "lying through their teeth", but perhaps misleading you slightly.

Companies like these will often deceive folks by telling them their ad will run "all month long", in reality the ad runs for a handful of impressions each day but not 100% percent of the time. The campaign will have a daily budget limit set so that your ad quits displaying as soon as the budget it reached each day.

AdWords will automatically manage this so that your ads are throttled and only shown on a portion of the searches so that there is a chance that your ad could be displayed at anytime of the day but only sometimes, not all the time. The remainder of the time your competitors ads will display, but yours will not be shown.

So all they are doing is setting a daily budget limit of $5 per day, limiting their ad spend to $150 and then charging you $300 and pocketing the difference as their profit. Obviously, if you know how to manage a campaign you'd be better off setting your daily budget to $10, spending $300, and getting $300 worth of clicks. From what I have seen of these type of companies they generally do a poor job of managing the campaigns, so you are better off learning to do it yourself or hiring an experienced campaign manager to manage it for you.

Having said that, if you are doing a poor job of managing your campaigns, even an expensive service like that could be more cost effective than doing it yourself. The key is to learn to do it right, and do it yourself, or hire someone that truly knows what he is doing.

In most cases, managing a campaign through the use of daily budget limits leads to poor results, and should only be used in the early phases of a campaign where you have little or no data to base adjustments on and you need to stay within a budget to avoid losses. After you have enough data you will be able to adjust settings in your campaign to maximize profits and you budget will grow to whatever size provides the maximum profit. Setting a restrictive daily budget limit on profitable campaigns just gives the advantage to your competitors, and should be avoided in most cases.
