Is Using This Fivrr Offer for SEO a Good Idea?

I'm considering using the following offer:

Crorkservice will add your site to 600+ social bookmarks + rss + ping + seo backlinks for $5, only on fiverr.com

Of course, my concern is not the cost -- but any negative
SEO consequence this may have on my client's SEO.

Have any of you had experience with this, or any similar offer?

My main goal initially is to get my client on the first 10 pages of Google (and do more long-lasting SEO from there to get them on page 1), and thought this may be a way to do it.

My concern is the above fivrr service may not abide by Google's latest algorithm. The last thing I want is to have my client's website penalized.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

In my exp hiring seo people from fiverr they typically build links just like they say, however typically these links dont carry much weight for SEO. I'm sure you've heard its better to have 1 power link than 1000 crappy links...

That being said, its $5! Try it and see for yourself (I wouldn't use a client site though, just to be safe)

You have a "client" but don't know if some crummy links and a ping are any good?

jazbo, just asking for advice and experience -- not sarcasm or snarkiness. Thanks.

bgarland: not my offer -- just a sincere request for advice from those who have used this or a similar service.

LOL. I thought the same thing.

You need to be VERY careful about building links for client's sites.

If you want to experiment I'd set up a site for experiment purposes and testing this and that.

That will teach you what works and what doesn't.

Yes, jpsween88, I believe I'll try it with one of my own websites first (one I'm not too concerned with getting slapped by Google over )

Still wondering if anyone has any long-term experience with this (or similar offers).
If so: did everything work out OK? No problems with Google?

I found it was much easier to learn SEO myself and then teach it to a VA rather than hiring a so called expert.

SEO is not necesarily hard, but time consuming and takes A LOT of research to find strong links.

Don't even consider it for links to a money site, unless you want to kill it.

Well let's just say this, that particular gig has been advertised in just about every youtube related WSO for the past year almost. If your client has a video to rank, then why not? A smaller percentage of that gig's orders have been for sites, and I don't see a lot of negative feedback regarding that.

On another note from my own testing bookmarking in general, even in large doses of 1000 - 2000 links, has not negatively affected any of my sites. At most i see a slower serp increase for particular amounts, but nothing that would tell me that particular gig would directly harm you. AND I say from personal experience that the gig is relatively safe for most sites and videos as I have used it on a few of my own.

I've been thinking about doing this myself, don't know a ton about SEO but learning. Where can I find someone cheap and somewhat reliable to do all my seo tasks for me that I want?

Don't use Fiverr for SEO gigs - I can guarantee that will not end well for you (if you're going to be pointing those crummy links at your money site that is)

This is the best offer around. I used it to rank my money site. Now I'm getting 2000+ uniques for most of my money keywords.

      Definitely worth the $5

travlinguy: A scary scenario. Thanks for warning.

sbucciarel: Thanks. That has been a concern of mine (Googl'es latest algorithm).

samjaynz & generaleet: Thanks for feedback. The website I was considering using this for is a non-profit organization.

One more thing from me. Whatever you decide to do, and if you are cautious, you'd better not give hyperlinks there - just URL without http and www (otherwise it will be hyperlinked automatically). Don't let people click your links and go directly from fiverr to your website. From my experience it may harm your results and it's quite logical when you consider that Google is watching like a hawk looking for any signals when people try to cheat the system. For sure they (Google) know what Fiverr is as it's in TOP 200 websites worldwide and what it means when you get a click from Fiverr and a blast of eg. 600 bookmarks at the same time.

I will never ever suggest this. They gonna bombard using some automated tool, nothing else

I've used Crork for a range of different services. One of the more responsive fiverr providers and does a good job. Know what you are getting though. Fiverr providers tend to load up single accounts with thousands of links. If those account go down, you could lose a ton of links in one swoop. I upgrade to unique accounts when they are offered for that reason.

What i would do is build a sick Squidoo page with your clients money site link on it with your chosen keyword, then use that Fiverr gig to promote the new squidoo page you just created.

Fiverr backlinks are worst...years back i used one and he made me wrong backlinks. They were around 800 backlinks. Now can you imagine what happens? better not to worry and get better links. If you want to try then order one and check the link value for rankings. You will come up to zero so better not to waste time, money and take major risk from google....

Instead of that, just spend that $5 and improve your on page content and it will help you little to rank...

Fiverr SEO is like buying a used car, once you pay the money, it's your problem.

Seriously If your feeling brave & want to buy one of those fiverr SEO gigs, you better be pointing those links at a buffer web 2.0 & not your money site. At least then you can delete the link from your own web 2.0 pointing at the money page when all he$$ breaks loose.

Test those Fiverr gigs. Make a link chain - sign up for Squidoo, Hubpages, Blogspot, Tumblr...then put a few articles on every website.
After that , try that Fiverr gig with one of the websites , Squidoo for example. Then you can see the real value of that gig.

Don't do it unless your plan is to destroy your clients rankings. Fiverr can work in some cases for some. But it requires you to find something that actually works and it's a rare thing these days and the fact you have to ask here makes me more convinced it's not a good plan at all.

Now it was a long time ago since I last used Fiverr but with the recent updates with Google crappy spammy links don't work as it used to. If you got a nice budget I'd rather focus finding quality links and buy these instead. These you usually find at competitors sites or sites in a nearby niche.
