PPC Traffic - sales page or squeeze page?

Hi guys,

About to launch a product on clickbank next week and wanted to know what you think will work best.

We have planned to send 100,000 visitors to our website and didn't know which of the following you guys think will work best, the product is pet-related and will cost around $50.

1 - Send all traffic direct to sales page with an exit popup to collect emails if they dont buy
2 - Send all traffic to a squeeze page to collect data first then send them to the sales page.

Would love to know what works best out there, sales or squeeze (I mentioned the price as I know higher ticket items work best with squeeze pages normally).

Looking forward to feedback

    oh, i read the title and wanted to just say this.
    If you are using adwords for ppc u cant send it to a squeeze page.
    Its against their policy.

    If your page is generally to collect personal data then it wont be allowed.

      Actually no one can really tell you.

      Every bodies' experience may vary.


      And there are other factors involved as well.

      For example, if the pre-sale is bad, and i just want to read the actual sales page, and u put me tru a squeeze page, i will just hit the close button.
      But if u send me to the sales page straight, i might change my mind if the sales page is good.

      But if the pre-sale is good, i cant wait to get to the sales page, i will just get over and done with the squeeze page by just giving my email. And if i reach your sales page straight and decides not to buy, u miss out on promoting to me in future.

      So its really a trade off.
      U have to consider this factors.

    I prefer to stick with "1 - Send all traffic direct to sales page with an exit popup to collect emails if they dont buy"

    I will probably throw in a PLR or two for free after they input their e-mail!

    Just my 2 cents.

      He is asking which to do 1st.
      Collect the emails then direct to sales page or sales page then collect email.

    I'd say split test too. Then split test some more.

    My guess is that the squeeze page will do better though.

    The answer is simple: Build both versions of your website. Test a few thousand visitors via #1 and #2, and you will have some solid data that tells you where to send the rest of the 100,000 visitors.
