Hi Guys and Gals,
I have heard different numbers for this question. From 1 % - 7% which sounds outrageous to me I believe it should be more like between 1% and 2% per 100 words which I have been using for my blog post, but I just heard through a recent seo course between 2% and 3% is what it should be. I use WP SEO plugin to gauge my keyword density and 3% keyword density is definitely to high. Could someone here in the forum give me the correct answer to what is the right keyword percentage for a blog or article post?

Thanks
Tony S

If you don't go over 3 you'll be fine in my opinion.
The problem with too many keywords is mainly because it brings the quaility of the article down. Just focus more on writing good qulaity content and you'll be fine if ou don't go over 3% keyword density

The secret formula for keyword density is...

Write good content for humans and make sure it reads well.

    My pleasure.

Anyone who tells you a set density doesn't know nearly as much about SEO as they say they do. The poster above me nailed it - write for the readers and you'll be fine.

If you write naturally about the subject you should have plenty of relevancy in the article. Don't even worry about stuffing x keywords into the article as it won't help you anyway.
