What would rank better ?

New site with 10+ pages unique content or aged domain with 10+ spinned content (both sites having the same link profile) ?

    First of all two sites will never share identical link profile

    second... Google is not relying (heavily) on on-page criteria anymore. Yes, these are important, even very important, but NOT on a level you are suggesting here.

    So, there is no answer to your question because it's wrong question

    New Content = Spun Content

    The whole purpose of spinning content is that it is unique in the eyes of a search engine. So it would be no different than writing 100% unique content.

    All things being equal, an aged domain should outrank a new domain. But things are never equal and it's easy for a new site to outrank an old site by doing the right things.

    The site with spun content is essentially worthless. You wont be able to keep visitors, they won't share your links, you won't be able to build a community around your site. It will be much hard to get any sales and sustain traffic with spun content vs original quality content.

    This is better unique content always rank higher. Spun content are useless and search engine will penalize them and spun content are unreadable by humans

    Why don't you just put your 10 pages of fresh content on the aged domain? Why would you even have to choose between these two options?

    Always go for unique content and expect better results in future, or else replace the existing content of the older domain to expect top results, in both of the cases does wonders for you.

    If I was doing it, it would be the aged domain w/out a doubt. Because there's not a single person on here who could tell that my articles were spun.

    But if it was a newbie, or a person who automatically assumed an article was "bad" just because it was spun, then I would probably screw it up. Probably because I love to rush to assumptions and don't know a damn thing about article spinning the right way.

    One final thing. If I only needed 10 articles, then I wouldn't even bother with spinning in the first place. Its too simple to write 10 original articles or just use some software like Dragon Naturally Speaking. If I needed 500-1000 articles however, then I'd probably waste a couple of days writing a high quality spintax. In addition to this I'd waste 1-2 minutes finding & replacing all the right keywords in each article. If this is done the right way, you save loads of time and will wind up with perfectly unique/user friendly articles.

    Both are NOT going to rank well... Each website should have unique content -> This is REALLY important! So, no matter if the domain is new or aged, if the content is copied or spun, then the website is worthless according to the Seach Engines!

      I love how you say "copied or spun". Almost like you don't realize there is a major difference.

      WF really needs a sticky that explains how grossly relative the word "spun" is.

      You can spin 1 word.
      You can spin 1,000 words.
      You can spin 0 sentences.
      You can spin 10.
      You can spin 1 paragraph.
      You can spin 100.

      You can spin using words that makes sense, you can spin using words that don't make any sense.

      You can spin characters, links, photos, videos, numbers, bullets, anything you want!

      But here is the point. It >>> does not matter <<< one little bit IF the article is spun or not. Spinning is a TOOL, a SKILLSET, and a spun article is the RESULT of that fact.

      Go online right now and type in "best movies of 2012".

      You will find 10 websites on the first page, all "unique", from different sites, that all READ and LOOK exactly the same.

      I don't even have to go look at them, and I can tell you, using my psychic powers that they will all read something like this:

      "Well 2012 was a great year for movies and these are some of my personal favorites. Now everybody probably won't like the same movies I did but because I lack originality and love to conform to a shitty site like rotten tomatoes and since I didn't even watch half of these movies here is my super original list..

      1) Silver Lining Playbook.
      2) Argo
      3) any other movies on rotten tomatoes that scored over 85%"


      Then the next site and next site and next site will all look like spun versions of the last site.

      And guess what? Thats what people like you call "unique content".

      But I could SPIN an article, and have it come out MORE UNIQUE than half the garbage that is currently ranking on page 1.

      And you can see these same types of trends between thousands of different niches online.

      So please people, stop trying to imply that spun content is of inferior quality. I guarantee you have read hundreds of spun articles before that you could NOT even tell were spun articles.

      Even as I write this, there are 1000 people right now trying to write a "unique" article about "How To Lose Weight By Cutting Out Carbs"

      or

      "How To Sleep Better By Eating The Right Foods"

      or

      "How To Pick Up A Girl By Being Confident"

      And you know what the most ironic part of all this is?
      The people coming into threads saying "spun content is garabage! it sucks! you can't rank a site with it!" are the same exact people who sound like spun garbage.

    The new site would rank..

    If your spun content would rank then it would go down in few days, as there wouldn't be visit length, bounce rate problem..

    You have to create something which is beneficial for users, even you are creating on new domain name, it doesn't matter a lot.
