Dubious content network traffic?

Hi

I just started on my first ever PPC campaign...and I'm getting what looks to be an abnormal amount of traffic which appears to originate from the Phillipines (compared to all other global regions).

Any ideas? Nothing to worry about?

I have the publisher ID but can't work out how to track down where the ads are appearing.

Choose your countries wisely and you'll avoid a lot of click fraud.
Also, I hope you aren't bidding the same for the Content Network as your are for the Search Network. I generally only bid 10% of what I bid for the Search Network. For example. If I bid $1.00 on the Search Network, I'll only bid $0.10 for the Content network.

    Check your website logs.

There is still a lot of fraud on the Content Network, be careful.
Also report the activity to Google. They may give you a credit.

You need to carefully monitor and choose the countries that you want your traffic to originate from.

If you are targeting an English speaking audience, I recommend you select no other than the following countries: UK, US, Nw Zealand, Australia and Canada

If you select all countries, the majority of your traffic will come from 3rd world countries and that kind of traffic converts badly.

        Thanks all

        Suspected it might be dodgy.

Did a lot of study before getting set up and yes, put the bids on content network as low as possible, so it's not been financially painful to learn the lesson.

Make sure you target specific countries - check your country demographic settings for the campaign and only select the countries you want to advertise in.

I typically only select these English speaking countries - USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and sometimes Singapore.

          Regards,

          John

ps - I also separate my Search network and Content Network into separate campaigns for better control.
