I have an affiliate site that was performing well before being slapped down by Google for poor linking practises a few months ago.
Would it be ok to lift the content off this site and onto a new domain and then delete/block the old site.
The content is high quality and ranked quite highly before the linking I did.
Cheers

Yes, you can use the content of your old site to new site, but create new site when your content is removed from Google index.

    Thanks for the reply.
Do you have experience of doing this yourself, just wondering how long it takes for the content to be removed from the index.
    Thanks again.

Add your site to googel webmaster tools and then request "URL removal"... After that it should take no more than a week.

    Here's what you do:

    1. Save all the content on your hard drive.

    2. Delete the content from the site...wait for Google to remove it from the index

    3. Repost the content on a new site

I wouldn't recommend adding anything to GWT. Just play it cool.

There's some people that think Google has a historic index of every page ever...which is possible. So it's possible that reposting the content on a new site won't fool them.

But IMHO, if it's not in their index, it's OK to use.
