SEO Content at Bottom of Page

Hey Warriors!

Here is what I mean:
I have a paragraph written for SEO. It is a summary of all the information above (product specifications), and it contains few links (less than 3) pointing to inner pages.

Is it okay to put it at the bottom of the page (right above the footer), or should I move it upper?

Move it up. The lower the relevant SEo content is on the page the worse for the page.

It is in fact relevant, but it is not made for the user, because he already saw any specifications.

I think I know what you're talking about. A summary paragraph below the main text of the page pretty much for linking (inner link) purposes.

If you keep the links minimal (like you're doing - and I'd say below three i.e. 2 absolute max per page) then I think you'd be OK based on what I've done similarly. Just don't have any duplicate content down there (exact of what's above) and I'd toss in the odd links to external sites also as "resources" - these links don't have to be direct competitors just niche related. The odd Wikipedia and other high profile basic homepage links are good if they relate to your niche but don't tempt the user away too much.

I've done this successfully but remember one size does not fit all and you need to test for yourself.

Edit: I think I know what Mike is saying, also. The inner linking doesn't have to be at the bottom of the page. A summary can (and probably should) precede an article and there's nothing wrong with sticking a link in there. It would have better SEO value, from that perspective, but personally, from page to page I'd mix it up. You could also link from within your main text article, as well, of course. I'd be wary of too much targeted anchor text in all of these examples.

Search engines tend to read content upper part of any page mainly, but your bottom content is also indexed so you can get benefit as well, if you put it on the upper part then it would be good, I think.

Use some harmonica plugin or script to make the page still look nice enough. That way you can also put in more content higher on the page without screwing up the whole design.

Then if you have links in the content you can hide that by the harmonica thing or you can hide it by removing the underline and color of the hyperlink.
