Guest Blogging - Content Writers?

Hi,

When looking for backlinks via guest blogs on related sites, do people find most owners of the blogs will accept articles that have been written from content writers who aren't necessarily experts in that field. I'm not talking your $2 500 word articles

There are various niches I would expect I could write a good article for as I'm familiar with the topic but I don't claim to be an expert in every single niche that I could be wanting a backlink for.

Do people find that a lot of blog owners are very picky about the articles they put up?

Thanks,
Dan

    Hi Dan,

I have the most success in getting my content published when I share something that is not widely known in the industry.

For this, I just have to do a little bit of research, and am not required to be an expert.

So getting back to your question, "Do people find that a lot of blog owners are very picky about the articles they put up?" My answer is "no", so long as my blog post is not just stating widely known facts within the niche.

    Hopefully this helps.

      Thanks for the reply.

Are there any content writers out there who actually specialise in writing for guest blogs?

The normal article writer I use don't recommend their services for guest blogging as the articles they write are too generic/general and I can see what they mean, they are ok for article directories or similar but guest blog tend to have a more personal/specific approach.

If you do a lot of these, you can probably "validate" them by doing a few legit looking long ones.
      Hi,

This is exactly what I'm not intending to do, hence the post asking if there is anybody out there who writes quality guest blogs that would be accepted on popular blogs.

    Hey Dannyl,

Guest blogging definitely isn't an expert-focused activity. It usually comes down to a couple factors at the end of the day:

    1. Did you follow directions?
    2. Does your post further your niche?
    3. Does the length and content of your post make you come across as if you're an expert?
    4. Does the post fit that particular site?

  • Guest blogging is not really about being an expert in the field. It's more of being vocal, opinionated, and full of unique and good content to share. I think if the content is interesting, it'll likely be accepted by blog owners. Also, it's important to read the blog owner's requirements so you will have an idea of what content they expect you to write.

If the webmaster accepting articles isn't picky, you can pretty much bet their site blows.
