Google is so late in indexing backlinks, what's your strategy to track what worked for you?

Hey guys, as you know. Whatever efforts you do in SEO doesn't show instant
effects because Google takes too much time in indexing backlinks. You may have
to wait for few weeks before you can see results for the work what you've done
today. So my question is what's your strategy to track what worked for you and
what not?

    Use the "download latest links" button in your webmaster tools to find out the latest pages linking back to your site. That too shows the indexed back links for the past three months, these links takes some to be updated in your back link count.

    You can check the index for the pages which consists links of your site, if you find changes(improvement) for your keywords in SERP.

    Uhm. I don't create crappy links, so I don't worry much about it.

    While I'm doing broken linkbuilding, links from older content (pre 2010) can take some time to get indexed, but eventually they get. I don't care if takes one day or 1 week. I'm not going to ping or push those pages to get my link indexed faster.

    Any other links get indexed quite quickly.

    This is really simple -

    If Google extends the amount of time it takes to crawl and index links, then you have to extend the amount of time for your analysis of what the result was.

    Long ago 'instant results' weren't delivered, then when Caffeine came around everyone got spoiled by suddenly faster index rates. Now we are back to something closer to where it was originally - no big deal - unless you are new and never knew it was once this way before.
