Hi

I am just wondering about managing time for content development and Seo. I spend abour 1 or 2 hours for seo and rest for content.

Is it sufficient ?

    You should switch it around.

Proper promotion is much more important than content if search engine traffic is your goal.

Both SEO and Content developement are very important factors for Optimization. You are to optimize these two and work on both to get traffic to desired Site. If you work properly on SEO it will bring visitors to your site. If you have good content then your SERP will be get better.

If you are giving more time in content creation then it is good, yes the ranking would be improving as well but it would a little slow, and slowness in SEO is good.. you can also make use of internal linking which would work for link building too.

I like to spend 80% of my promotion on promotion and 20% on development.

There's no point pumping out content if no one is there to read it.

Right now, I spend most of my time on content to ensure that once my sites get traffic, it's sticky traffic. I hate high bounce rates. After the content is where it needs to be, then it's promo time...I can always tweak the content on an ongoing basis as I better acquaint myselves with visitors and what they need.

Current project is a beauty site, so I have to make it worthwhile for my potential visitors and target my niche and demographic group effectively - otherwise, I'll end up with a ghost town. Me no wants that!!!!
