I have an adsense site. I had placed amazon products links on my this site. I noticed number of organic visitors to my site were falling, so I thought may be Google is pushing back my posts' serps. Thinking this I removed all the amazon links from all of my posts. I have not noticed any great improvements in my posts's serps.

I seek advice whether the serps are effected by having amazon links on one's site.

I am thinking of placing amazon links again on my all posts. As the number of posts are +100, it's a time consuming task. So I am asking for your advice before I do this.

  • Cbnet,

Do you have too many ads above the fold? That could be a reason that you’re not showing up as much in SERPs. It could also be that you have too many ads on one page. Some of the recent algorithm updates focused on affiliate advertising and its abuse in web pages.

You should also making a reasonable effort to mask your links.
