Hey guys,

i've been reading along here for quite a long time now after finding out about how fun IM actualy is.

But i'm running into some questions wich you might be able to help this newby out with.

I started out trying to find my way into the ex girlfriend and bugs niche ( but in dutch )
Did keyword research and now working on my SEO.

Been running www.exterug.be for about 3 1/2 weeks now and had my first sale the 20th of June, and having some adsense income on daily base (only couple of cents with a high of 1,30 euro ). But its giving a decent feeling that i'm actualy making some progress.

Now i am working on the pageraking to get higher and higher in google and i'm on abuot 10 visitors per site ( in my opinion way too low but the number is increasing with 1 each day roughly )
I got about 75 backlinks on both sites and am strugling and digging around to get more and Higher PR ranked links.

But atm i'm running into a brick wall of only creating backlinks on daily basis and creating content for my 3th site wich has to be more informative and more adsense aimed.

The 2 i am talking about right now are only one page hits and a first attempt to see what IM has to offer for me.

so to the question part.
on 1 site I registered a *.be ( http://www.exterug.be ) domain wich is belgium whilst i live in the netherland and the payment system is ideal wich is dutch, but i'm getting more dutch visitors than belgique. Now my quistion to you guys is : Is it too hard to rank with an extension of a diferent country and might it be smart to drop this domain and register an *.nl or *.org domain and start over again?

Second i'm running another "niche" test site dedicated to 1 sort of bug on Zilvervisjes bestrijden | Info over hoe je het beste zilvervisjes kan bestrijden but as you see its a subdomain of allforless. Would it boost my trafic to register a dedicated domain just for this niche and start linkbuilding all over again? Or is a subdomain just as viable as a full www.* domain?

and third but not last : Any one got some nice input about how to get more trafic and page layout? ( dont be too harsh it is my first attempt with wp site building and niche sites ) ..
At the moment my visitor number is raising with roughly one visitor a day but in my opinion after one month the sites should hit about 100 daily right?

the adword tool gives me ( with exact match ticked ofcourse :
9900 local monthly searches for my main keyword on the bug site "zilvervisjes"

and 720 local montly searches for "ex terug"

strangly enough ex terug is getting the most daily visitors.

on both i'm running WP with the Seo tool from yoast implemented and optimised by that tool.

i'm looking forward to all your comments and suggestions

It would be fun if the sites would make more than 0,75 euro a day wich they did last month from the affiliate sale and adsense combined

I would suggest that you should start with one web site (blog) and add frequently new and unique content, at least one post a week.
Otherwise your web site will soon start to lose position on search result pages.

Make sure that content is relevant to the subject and good. It should have a lot of valuable information so people would hang some time on it.
Now I see you have only two pages stuffed with links to products or CPA offers (not good).

Promote it on social bookmarking sites, start a facebook page about it, etc.. Do guest blogging. That way people would hear/see about it, like it and start making real backlinks to your site.

That is one way to a so called "free traffic". However it costs you a lot of time, at least.

Well, you can't use .be for multiple countries as it is only for one specific country so it is better to start fresh work with .com, .net or .org domain names..

That last part doesnt realy make me happy

but i'm getting 80% visitors of the right country. I might not get ALOT of visitors on the site ( only 18 a day ) but i get 6 affiliate links cliked a day on that site so that sould be a 30%ctr rate?
( Just taking today for excample it might be a bit lower on other days but im'roughly between 10 and 30% ctr on that site )

Couse i've spende the last 2 weeks on backlink building and i'm somewhere around 70ish backlinks now that i generated. ( The first of them i did in the wrong way a bit spamish :'( stupid i know but cant change that and now taking them ALOT more serious ) I first thought het more the better but it turns out that the better the quality the better the backlink..

For the content. I'm on a site now that has an *.nl extension and way more content and i'm planning on adding some time by time (its about bugs ) and you guys think that it easyer to rank if i keep adding content?
Couse the niche i'm competing in with the *.be domain isnt that crowded and the nr1 of that niche is a site with just one page who has been there since about 2012..

Ah well gona try to build some new content on that site tommorow evening / monday .. hope that will boost visitors a bit.

It would be a real achivement if i can get over 30 visitors a day the next week, i made it to about 18 a day in 2 weeks now with all the stupid rooky mistakes i made.

Btw one more question

I'm owning 1 domain with hosting and i'm redirecting my other domains to a a subdomain of that site. Doest hat infect my googlynes?
I mean if i get a domain without linking and without subdomains but just the www.*nichehere*.nl domain over www.*nichehere*.nl -> redirect -> nichehere.domain.nl
( not clear if it is 100% undertsandable but hey its worth a shot.

Only been on it for about 1 month including reading learning and setting up so my mind is jammed full with questionmarks ..

Been doing backlinks the past 2 weeks now gona try to write a new piece to fit in
Hoping that the good weather and nice drinks are inspiring enough to make it count and people actualy liking it

  But i was wondering about how many articles you guys write a week and how long it takes google to pick them up?

  gona try to keep focus on one page wich is getting the most hits and gona try to write another article tonight BUT ..
  What is safe? Write an article tonight and post it right away or wait a week and post it than?
  
  Becouse well if i write 2 articles a day i dont figure i can think of more than 6 articles for this niche i will probably be done writing within 3 days. Okey make it 6 or maiby even 12 but still than i will be done updating it within 12 days isnt it smarter to just write them and safe them somewhere and have them ready to post and just put one up each weak ? wich wil boost SEO each time you put something up and have myself 6 solid weeks of updates?

  Would it be SEO friendly to post an update the night before i leave or just let it rest for those weeks that i'm gone?

  If i write a niche about dating ( wich i curently am ) is it smart to use a completely other search word if i write another page on that blog?
  For example i choose "blind date" as niche and i start onother update about keeping contact after the blind date and i write it about "tekst messaging" would it be smart to give the tekst messaging update keywords that match the "date tekst messaging" or would it be smart to use the blind date keywords hence thats why your attracting people to your site for the blind dates..
  
  What i actualy mean .. should you keep your focus on 1 keyword the entire niche blog or is it safe to switch keywords per page that you update?

I think all my work and waiting started to pay off.
I finaly ranked page one on google with my site. It still isnt first on page one but i am there i'm on page 2 on another keyword .. Strangely enough i rank page 2 on a keyword that i was aiming for and page 1 on a keyword that i wasn't aiming for..

But i optimalised my site on my kewords even more and by the looks of it google indexed me on those pages by my old setup so i hope it changes even for the better for me..

Any idear on how many hits i can count being on page 1 with roughly 1900ish exact searches a month?
I would be pleased with something like 100 hits a day :+

now been hitting 25+ hits a day steady with about 5 affiliate clics. and 0 adsense clicks

not that much compared to waht I am reading here but i'm happy with the progress.. Seeying progress makes me wanna do more.

But for now i should probably go to sleep Got my day off from work tomorow to do Household and stuf so gona try to get another article done and tweaked for placement upcomming Friday.

btw i'm not sure if you guys ( and readers ) Are interested in mee keeping these updates on my progress . But if you dont just tell me and i'l stop updating.

Its quite hard for me to keep my focus on one site and not switching up and down to others that i've got that are just building name and fame by standing still :+ But writing about what i'm doing makes me think about what i should and gona do and gives me some "direction"

I dont know how you guys do it but sharing makes me have a stick behind the door that actualy forces me to do more than that i would do if i wouldnt share it with anybody And hence my GF aint interested in anything IM related as long as she got a house to live in she's happy is enough for her.. Well you guys are probably the only ones that understand me sitting inside behind a pc doing some IM whilst its extremely nice weather outside

Just a litle update.. You guys might have some great idears

A couple of weeks ago I was starting to see some trafic slowly pooring in ( 10's a day ) so i decided to put in some more ppc and affiliate codes..

plain and simple downright stupid. Google noticed it within no time at all and kicked me down steadily until I was on the 4th page.

Took me about a day to figure out where it went wrong and after reading and thinking i decided to remove basicly all ppc & affiliate links exept the ones realy leading to my produced. Leaving my site with a bare minimum of ppc links. Reduced the loading time to the best i could get it.
And sat down and wrote 1 more page every 2 days and posted it..

After all that work i saw my site plummit another page on google.. It got me down a bit that I now ended up at page 5 of google ( according to whatsmyserp.com i was @ 43 ) for my longtail keyword.
So i decided to let it rest for about 1 1/2 week and went on holiday..

And suprisingly enough about 1 day after my return the site started rising and rising again and now i'm kinda back ( position 8 according to whatsmyserp ).

But it left me kinda scared of making any "big" changes to the site.

I'm now having the great amount of 25 to 30 visitors a day on my site and somewhere between 3 and 8 clicks on my affiliate links..
Still no sale to, well i had one sale within the first 2 weeks of louncing the site but the payment got witdrawn

It might not be the biggest niche that i'm trying to work my way into but atleast i am getting my hosting payed back by this site now trough the minimum amount of adsense that i've got going there.

But let this be a lesson for all people starting with IM .
Don't overcrowd your site with ppc and affiliate links, google WIL see it and will kick you down like a bat with rabies..

I'm still thinking about tweaking / writing more articles for this blog..

But my mind is drafting and flying around and trying to think off some nice new nice that might actualy bring in enough money to pay my car insurance or somthing

Anyways First goal reached -> Let the site earn enough to pay itself
next goal - > earn 10x what I earned this month.

If any 1 has some idears i'm all ears But i'm trying to make a start from bare minimum by just reading and trial and error.

I see your using paypro and promoting the ex terug methode. Keep in mind that every concurrent is promoting it already.( so not much chance they buy from your website) I am working on a ex terug website too, I tried promoting ex terug methode but since everyone already promotes it I didnot made any sales, yesterday I changed the promote called: ex terugwinnen systeem and I got 2 sales already! 25 euro x 2 = 50 euro

And yup it's crowded but its my first site ever that i'm trying affiliate on an di just did a keyword search and ended up here not realy knowing every detail about researching and registered the accound.. :p

Been googling for "ex terug systeem" and I end up with the same "ex terug methode" but than being promoted under a diferent name.
Am i righ? Are you promiting the same product but under a diferent name?

Hello, sorry for the late reaction, well I see your doing a good job learning 'seo' The product I promote is from; Hoe krijg ik mijn ex terug? | Geheimen Om Je Ex Terug Te Winnen, made 2 more sales since last time I visit this board. Right now i'm ranking first page on 2 long tails ( not first on first page but i'm on first page non the less )
And I had 27visitors today so far with 3 clicks and 0 sales.

So i wonder if you just hit jackpot on your longtail keyword or if having a change of product is giving you a great boost of sales.

Couse if changing product is giving that boost it might be worth it to think about introducucing another page on my site with that product.

Either way its time for me to write another post tomorrow or the day after so i might slap on the other product to give it a try.
