I am planning to buy a site which has just 10 post but doing very nicely on google SERPs. And the conversions rate is around 5.14% which are all from organic mostly from google and bing/yahoo.

The site is just few months old. I am still a newbie in evaluating sites and don't want to suffer any loses.
The reason of its high traffic is , it is on google page 1 and have around 17k backlinks ( mostly links on blogroll and forums). And currently making $300/month.

So do you think it might lose traffic later or How do I maintain the site's rank.

My personal opinion is that it is pretty risky if a site relies greatly on ranking in Google for traffic. Best is to look for a site with multiple sources of traffic.

I would only buy a site if it is making stable income over a period of 6 months.

As you are planning to buy the website, first of all cross check the performance of the website and backlinks then remove the unwanted backlinks for the website then perform quality offsite submissions on regular basis to maintain the rankings of the keywords.
