AdSense ads under post title allowed?

Hi,

I hear rumours about ads "not being allowed" right under page/post titles... I have 468x60 ads right under page titles.

I read the terms, have checked the examples, there wasn't anything against it.

I know they don't allow placing ads under "misleading titles", but mine are just normal article titles.

My format is:

PAGE TITLE
468x60 ADSENSE AD
TEXTUAL CONTENT
#ads #adsense #allowed #post #title

    Sometimes people misquote google. Like saying
    ads should not be placed under title or heading.
    The full quote is,
    Ads shouldn't be placed under a title or section heading in a way that implies that the ads are not ads.

    They give bad examples.

    Reading the adsense blog is one way to keep up to date on explanations
    of adsense TOS. They can't give every scenario, so people think if their
    particular scenario is not mentioned, it must be ok. Bad idea.

    A 468 block would be easier to implement under title.

      This is correct. I'd say if when you look at your site you get that gut feeling that the title over the ad is misleading in any way then either label it as an ad or make a change to your layout such that the 'uneasy' feeling goes away...that kinda 'would I feel bummed if I lost my adsense account if I didnt change this' feeling You dont want that.

      You can use various devices to make that icky feeling go away. Extra spacing below the title, underlining the title, wrapping text either to the left or right of the ad, putting the word 'advertisement' over the ad etc.

      This very good advice, I've seen this very thing come up on another forum today. Good to see someone quote facts and not adsense Myths. Of note is that if they banned everyone who ran adsense under a title/heading they'd go bust overnight...

    Technically ads can be placed everywhere, just be sure NOT to have any signs and "ASK" people to click your ads!

    Just be sure to clearly label your advertisements as such and Google won't ever have a problem with your ad placement.

    Thanks for the posts!

    I do read the AdSense Blog, but of course, my particular cases aren't mentioned there and the Terms of Service is vague...

    So, I guess my ads are fine. Just that I think I will set a special color for the AdSense links, so that they don't look even nearly similar to my own links on the site.
