hi guys,

I am curious about this.
As mention above, among all building links method. Is one way link the best way to build good links without getting ban?

Does leaving comments on blogs having a one way link to your site? Since you are able to leave your keyword at the blogs that related to your site. And once approved, they have a link at their site pointing to your site.

Correct me if i am wrong.

Don't worry about getting banned. As long as you get links from sites which aren't porn or otherwise less than reputable sites, you'll be fine.

As for blog commenting, you'll need to check if its dofollow or nofollow. An easy way to tell is to use a Firefox plugin called SEO for Firefox which highlights nofollow links.

There isn't a real problem with links coming from adult sites, or any site for that matter. Google knows that you have little or no control over that. What matters is what you link to on your site.

The problem with linking to adult sites is that your site might get classified as adult as well and thus be subject to filtering by various 'clean up the Internet' firewall programs. It doesn't really matter so far as Google goes except for image search and Adsense. What can actually get you in trouble linking to an adult site is that often these webmasters use blackhat tactics that would get a site on any topic banned.

Curtis getting links from porn sites won't get you banned. The fact is if you are using
blackhat techniques(setting your text color same as the background, use 1 square pixel links to get around, showing a version of your site to the search engines and another version to your site visitors etc) , Google will ban you definietly.

commenting on blogs won't get you banned even you do link exchange Google won't
ban you but it discounts the values of the them that's it..

      hopes that help

    Spark,

One way links are definitely the best way to build up SEO. Usually best if from related sites/pages.

Also CurtisN is correct, you should research a little about the DoFollow tag if you will be posting on blogs.

    Cheers,

You're spot on Spark. If you're going to comment on blogs - make sure you leave a very worthwhile comment - the better it is, the less likely the blow owner will delete it.

One idea that can go really well:

Get a wordpress theme done, and distribute it for free w/ a condition that the users have to keep a backlink to your site on whichever site they use the theme. You can encrypt the link as well.

Promote the freebie, get backlinks easily!

    ----

    Other ways, pretty common tho:

    - Yahoo Answers - You can answer questions related to your niche and quote your website as a source thus generating traffic as well as solid backlinks for your website.

    - Forum Marketing - Post on niche forums with a signature link to your site!

    - Blog commenting - Comment on niche blogs with a backlink to your site.

    Best ways for links:
    Do follow blog comments
Posting on relevant forums with your signature
    Social Bookmarking
    Article Submission

But make sure you don't spam anywhere and get links from related pages only as this will bring you best results.

Guys, really thanks for your help on this.

Can i say that as long as i am getting any links that's pointing at me, i won't get ban? It's who we link them that matter getting ban or not. Right? In this case, why don't we just close our linkage with others will do? Just blasting / looking for those one way links to get our site rank in the 1st page?
[meaning, i can leave comment on those adult / unrelated topic, but don't link to them] Correct me if i am wrong.

That's right for the most part. If there were suddenly overnight 100,000 links from autogenerated sources this might get your site flagged for visual inspection by the Google web spam team. But, if you're just getting 100 links here and 20 links there it won't matter.

Another factor is if you were to start getting a lot of links from adult or other controversial sites without having a lot of links from other sources this could make you start ranking for terms you don't necessarily want to rank for.

Relevant links are important. For example, let's say you have a site on football uniforms. A comment or blogroll link from a PR5 "make money online" blog won't be as good as a link from within an article on a PR3 blog about football in general. The 'holy grail' link would be a contextual link from a high PR site but these aren't all that easy to get.

Thanks for your help on this. really appreciate as I really learn alot abt link building by reading your reply. Was wondering whether will raised flag if my website get 20 -100 links weekly if my site are new? Less than 2 month? Or it won't matter as I am building links 'outside' my site as I am only using their sites to promote the keywords I am target which I will rank well?

Somewhere up there a poster mentioned yahoo answers is a backlink - yet I believe they are no follow links. In so far as targeted traffic yahoo answers has always worked for me, but I have read more than once that the links themselves are "no follow". If someone can confirm this that would be right frikin cool

You should not rely on just one method of link building for your sites. Do a little of everything, it will look more natural. Also, there are directory links that are not worthless. There are plenty of good ones out there, including authority directories and niche directories that are worth submitting to. I also agree that related links are the way to go.
