Hi warriors

Really stuck here. Ive been doing all my seo manually now for the past two months. I decided to buy seo powersuite so i could find my competitors backlinks and replicate the success they have.

Most of the backlinks i have found are from sites like this:

hxxp://askmedear.net
hxxp://answers-android.info

How have they got these links?

You cant comment on them or reply?

Would really appreciate your help with this one

Rob

I seen they are simple blog commenting so that's why your competitors get backlinks from those sites.

You should check out Majestic SEO and Ahrefs as well. How is SEO Spyglass obtaining its database of links now? It used to use Yahoo. Not sure how they've kept up once that went down.

These sites are scraping Yahoo answers, maybe they are injecting their own links into the answers (assuming they own the sites).

      Can you PM an example?

the purpose of analyzing your competitors backlinks is not to match them but beat them. its not necessary all the time to get the exact same links

It's either a blog network or a blog comment link.

& as Mike said, analyzing your competitors isn't to copy their links 1 to 1 but plan a better strategy to beat them.

Example: They get 20 PR 0 links then plan a strategy to get 20 PR 1 links

That's right as stated by Mike.

The major aim of spying on your competitor is to give you a rough idea on:

How much time it will take to rank your site.
Prepare you for an equal or higher budget.
Replicate the process on where you can and make up elsewhere for where you cant.

If your competitors can get top rank using those backlinks, then you can also beat him up in the ranking if you get the backlinks from those sites and have great content on your site, then more likely google will give more importance to your site,

It's normal blog comments, but those backlinks won't be so good, because they are NOT on related blogs and so NOT worth even the time to write these comments!

Try Majestic SEO and Ahrefs. I will get all their backlinks. It catagorise them in different ways, like do-follow no-follow and geographically too.

At first try some search on Google to check for which keywords your targeted competitors are ranking higher than you and taking those keywords start doing on page seo. It will lower your off page seo effort. No need to worry much about back links.

You can't get them all but should try to build your own fresh ones, as because some sites (your comp. has link on..) may allowed link posting in the past but not now.
