Need Help with Duplicate Content Question

Hi everyone. (and any SEO experts out there)

I am new here and so glad to have found this forum. I am sure I will be needing it! I have a question regarding duplicate content. I am in process of developing a new site focusing on printable party products and most of the details for each product are very similar and I need to know if using a table of almost all the same info on my product pages would be considered duplicate content. Here is a link to an example product page (minus the actual description with keywords).

If Google is going to consider this duplicate content is there a way around this? I'd hate to build out all my product pages just to be penalized.

Also may be in need of some initial SEO help and setting up Google Analytics etc, as well as reviewing my platform. If there are any SEO experts willing to help please message me!

    Is the product description the area that would be the same for each product? Yes, anytime that you reuse the same text on multiple pages of your site, that is going to be duplicate content. If it's unavoidable, then you can go ahead and do it, but try to lesson the duplicate content by adding unique content above and perhaps below it as well. The more unique content on the page, the better.

      Hi there!

      And thank you for your reply!! Yes the text (which is in a table and more like details customers need to know) would be the same for hundreds of products but I plan to have a description (copy) with keywords for each product above and I suppose can put something below if needed. I need to put these details on all my products. Think its ok?

      I really do not know how to get around this.

    Ensure each page has a completely different content and title from each other.

    The sentence can mean closely the same thing but it should vary to help you rank well and avoid
    any penalty too.

    You need unique content anywhere possible. The more sitewide duplicate content you have, the less likely Google will take your website seriously.

    Dont just plug in RSS feeds from your vendors and expect to rank. Add some personality and character to your descriptions and make them unique.

      Matt Cutts referred to the RSS feed site as a thin affiliate site. It's best to add unique articles or other content that can't be found on any other site, even when you must add duplicated content such as descriptions.

    Duplicate content is a big problem now, You need to take it seriously now, google doesn't like or give any importance to stolen duplicate content, instead you should hire a professional writer who can re-write it for you or you can yourself do it.

    Well you are one of the few people who truly understand duplicate content issue. The way I see it if the desriptions are thin then you should canonise those urls, try to have content on those sites or Panda can hit you.

    Since these are party products, you could give 'party planning' ideas and suggest ways the printables could be used in a party. That would provide original content for the page.
