Duplicate Content with Host

client host his site at GoDaddy and used their template. He, he prefers it and I told him to change.
Anyway, the template has a index.php and a home.php both of which are the same content.
So I can go do domain.com and domain.com/home.php and it is the same.
there's no where to add canonical tags either from what I saw.
What would you do?
