Duplicate content percentages
- SEO |
1.) Insurance Rates in Michigan | Detroit, Ann Arbor
Insurance Rates in Maryland | Baltimore, Bethesda
say you have 50 state pages, or 20 what do you do?
is there an accepted percentage in meta titles?
would you re-write "insurance rates" to something else?
"Car Insurance Rates" in Maryland | Baltimore... . or use "Motor Vehicle Insurance Rates".... but then your target cities do not fit in the title tag 69 limit. - SOL?
1a.) also how many of you removed the meta kw tag completely?
2.) I know it is so 2010-ish but I just read this on another site about:
"Trailing Slashes on URLs
Similar to www and non-www URLs, search engines consider URLs that render both with a trailing slash, and without, to be different URLs. As an example, duplicate URLs are created when URLs such as /page/ and /page/index.html, or /page and /page.html, render the same content."
I don't see that in the htaccess file and the urls all have trailing slashes in the html code plus it is indexed in Google like that already.
The site is only a few months old from redesign), but I'd prefer the non trailing slash for possible link building purposes.
