Bing / Yahoo De-Indexed - Help

My site has been deindexed by Bing & Yahoo. Last week we had awesome rankings and climbing with many #1 spots on Bing & Yahoo.

We still maintain excellent rankings with Google.

I've uncovered this points as being issues:
  • Link Penalty
  • On Page Optimization Penalty
  • Untagged Paid Traffic
  • Indexing Issues
I chose to dig into "indexing issues" first:


1. There is no Disallow:/ in Robots.txt. Some pages (ie contacts) are disallowed but nothing globally).
2. There is no meta code blocking the spiders (ie <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX">)


I spoke with my network server people and they are not sure about these bots or what to do to allow them if they are being disallowed for some reason.



1. MSN/Bing Bot

2. Yahoo Slurp bot



I went to Rex Swain's HTTP Viewer so I could glean a head reading with bingbot and found the response to be 200 which tells me this part is good.

So what else can I do to fix this issue as everything I'm checking looks good.

    Not sure about Bing and Yahoo deindexing reasons, but I would suggest you to check the Bing webmaster tool as you might have received some kind of notification about de-indexing.

    Checked the rankings with Bing today and they have all returned.

    I did take this opportunity to setup Bing Webmaster Accounts including the social media trackers which I really should have done previously but hardly a reason for deindexing the site over night.
