my home page has a fairly high PR for a handful of keywords....(#1 to #5 for most of them)..

I have an 'articles' page on my website which is basically a list internal links pointing to my own articles (which also reside on the same website site)...I add new articles on a weekly basis...

What I've noticed is that is takes forever for this new content to be indexed....is it because my 'article list' page (one with all the links) has a very low PR and hence gets crawled very seldom? ie. If I had to put a list of my latest article links on my home page instead, would this content get indexed faster? (I am assuming google crawls a high PR page more often than a low one...or is my asumption way off)

Let me start by discussing the semantics used here. "PR" generally refers to "Google PageRank" in SEO circles, and it is the numerical score from 0 to 10 that google assigns to your site based on their algorithm. PageRank is NOT the position your site has in the search results.

Here are a few a reasons google would index your site faster and more often:
    1. There are high PageRank sites pointing to your site
    2. Your site's unique content is changing often
    3. There are many google searches that are landing on your site

Those would be the main ones that would get you indexed.
