Checking webmastertools, I found 251 and 256 backlinks have been created , with in a day, to one single and same article of my one site. These backlinks are created from two sites:

Both of these sites have no relevance to my niche.

Can the experience warriors advise, whether some body is playing mischievous?

Doesn't matter considering the sites are down (Bandwidth Limit Exceeded). That's most likely a sign that both sites are owned/hosted by the same person (what are the odds, same site down message with same links).

Check the backlink pages when the sites are up, you tell us, what type of link is it (comment in sidebar)?

    Lol @ the herpes site.

No links are opening, as both the sites are down.

Hey mate, they are fake backlinks , they will remove soon , they are not good for your site.
You should buy Blog Comments for your site so that you can get strong backlinks for your site, I can suggest you some good Blog Commenter.

    Thank you

Well, I think in this case you should take down those link by contacting them or by using your Disavow tool from the Google webmaster account as sooner or later those links are going to harm your site. So I would say I would be better to get rid of those links rather than waiting for the Google officials to get you down.

This happens all of the time, sometimes they are scraper style sites where the links are totally automated and not intentionally malicious. For example automated blogs and directories that are being filled out with "spun" content.

Considering the sites are down though that's a good thing. If you start seeing a lot of low quality links pointed to your site that's a bad thing, so keep a close eye on your backlink profile.

This is messed up, I've had this happen to me too and I think these scrapper spammy sites hurt my rank, my niche hadd nothing to do with adult diapers yet I saw some crappy spam scraper sites using my articles and linking back to me.

I heard google will automatically think you are paying for links or unnaturally linking since its an unrelated crap site linking to you and penalize you
