How do you structure your niche?

Ok so I'm learning more everytime I get on this forum, and anytime I try to build backlinks and such. However in anothe thread I keep reading that your site needs good quality conent that people want to read or look at, first and foremost.
How is your niche structured? Right now I only have one page with one hoplink, and of course I'm building my backlinks thru blogs, articles and forums. But isn't my affiate page supposed to be very basicwith a few questions and 500ish words? Gainingmusclemass.net is my page if you wish to give appreciated feedback.
Do you have a hub for your niche that links to all of your short affiliate pages?and you make your backlinks point towards your niche's hub? Once your hub gets popular for all kinds of keyphrases then automatically your affiliate pages are included in the fame for higher ranking on google?
I think I could make a high quality hub because I'm really into the niche bodybuilding. I know a lot about it.
