What To Charge Client For PPC Campaign Optimization

I'm sending in a proposal to manage a company's Adwords PPC campaigns.

This company generates over $1M in revenue monthly. But their PPC campaigns are crap (every ad links to homepage, not targeting lots of obvious keywords).

But I don't know how much to charge them..

I'm just looking to get a foot in the door right now because I have a lot of other services to upsell them on. But I dont want to undercharge at the same time.

For anyone that offers PPC campaign optimization as a service to clients, what are your rates?

    The standard practice in the industry id to charge a percentage of their ad budget. The standard fee is usually about 15% of the ad budget.

      I figured it would be a percentage of their ad spend..

      That leaves me with the risk of earning very little if they decide to spend only a few hundred.

      I guess there is usually a minimum monthly ad spend that is agreed upon...

        If they're doing a million a month in business and you can convince them that you're the man to handle their ads, I'm sure their willing to spend a lot more than a few hundred bucks.

        Just give it a shot and see how it works out.
