Why whatever that is claimed by Matt Cutts is not reflected by Google search algorithms?

Hi,

I have been following what Matt cutts has been saying about new logic for SEO that is going to ignore articles posting, directories posting, guest posting and bla bla. However i see all top notch SEO agencies are still using the above for their SEO packages and to my surprise Google does respond to these SEO methods still contrary to what Matt cutts is saying...

I am confused here, how can this happen? Who is telling the truth?

    Start with this understanding, Matt Cutts is a liar. He is the propagandist for Google. He tells you what Google wants you to believe, and they do not want you to know how to rank in the SERP, so they are not going to teach you how to do it. Everything Matt tells you is just to confuse you or distract you.

      Seriously does that means he is trying to showcase things which Google wants us to see not what we are going to see. Why I am getting a feel that this is the security of the Google's Algorithm as long as people don't know about it they are on the top and the time we came to know their concept the fairy world created by Google will vanish.

    The discrepancy between what Matt says and what Google does is self-explanatory. Google dislikes SEOs, so they are trying to mislead us so we'd have difficulty ranking for our keywords. Don't do what they say you should do. Do what works.

    Everything Cutts says cannot be believed but quite a bit of it can. The problem in this case is you have kind of changed what he said. the things above are considered spam and violations of their guidelines but the whole point of having a web spam department is that they DO work. So they are saying those things will be punished IF CAUGHT.

    incidentally directory posting and guest posting have never been across the board condemned. Articles cant be either since 80% plus of websites out there. links from article directories have DEFINITELY taken a hit.

    Don't follow the ignore everythin Cutts says crowd. They are the ones crying in here after every new algo update. The truth is usually somewhere in the middle

    The answer is simple. Would Google want you to know how to dominate their search engine results ?

    Think about it on a large scale, there are so much scum of people on this earth that if they had that information it would seriously compromise the quality of the results.

    Not saying it is not been done consistently, as there are sites ranking that shouldn't even be on google but look at the doubt and lies they have made people believe. Only a minority of the whole interwebz actually know what ranks sites and is exploiting it and even that is a problem for Google, imagine everyone doing it how do you think that will affect results ?.

    The best keyword i can show you where the quality of results is seriously lacking because thats targeted the most by black hatters and SEOs is viagra related keywords,

    Then Google also has to help the legit websites so their advice is not all lies but if you follow that you have no chance of being penalized but thats all. Don't expect to rank or rank poorly.

    I would disavow whatever he recommends. He is telling people not to do these things in an effort to try and minimize them from doing them to manipulate the search engine. While Google can control the algo and make changes whenever they want...certain factors are harder to change and still get quality results. If Matt says not to do something...unless it is blatantly spammy...I would do the opposite.
