I'm starting to do alot of YouTube Marketing now

Has anyone got any useful tips on how to get better ranking videos at all

    Make them worth watching. be active on your channel commenting and liking other videos. Syndicate your videos to all the sites listed on youtube.

      That is terrible advice and nothing to do with ranking youtube videos. You can be active all day you want but that won't rank you for jack.

      OP: Check out my thread i made about youtube, i know a lot more now so its kind of outdated but should be helpful.

      To give a short answer (in a hurry now) for youtube you need views and views alone and your video will hit the top. Create a viral like effect i.e a lot of views in a short amount of time and the top spot will be yours.

      For google, its a little complicated and google has made it somewhat difficult/tricky to rank YT videos on google. Still easier than ranking sites though but not as easy as it was in past anymore. Read my thread for that, you need a lot of things to go right for your video to show up on google. (more on that in a few).

    Keep them entertaining and make sure the titles contain keywords so people can find them on Google and via the YT search.

    1-Do your keyword research.
    2-Save the file as your keyword.
    3-Include the keyword in the title.
    4-Make the description kind of like a mini-blog post with the keyword naturally sprinkled throughout.
    5-Make a video timeline. (Makes it user friendly, and gets the keyword naturally in the description.)
    6-Add your tags.
    7-Use a custom thumbnail with your keyword on the image.
    9-Upload a transcript file.
    10-Create a video sitemap.
    11-Create a keyword-rich playlist.
    12-Have the channel description be keyword rich. (Naturally, not stuffed.)
