Best Article Directories for backlinking?

I read on here that most people recommend to first submit your article to ezinearticles.com because they have the tightest guidlines for accepting submissions. Then if your article gets approved you submit them to other sites.

So my article got accepted and published on ezinearticles and I'm trying to figure out where else to post the article so I get more backlinks. Is there a list of sites somewhere where anyone can sign up and post articles? Or should I just google "article directory" and sign up to all those sites + post?

I am not too sure because this is the article directory that I have been using and am pretty happy with them.

There is a good amount of people who will go there to EzineArticles and if they like your article/s, they may pick it up and post it on their website. When they do this, they will also include your resource box with your own link.

I would have to say ezinearticles.com is the best! I'm an author on there...

I like ezinearticles and articlebase. I find that both of these have gotten on the first page of Google for me. Articlebase has a lot less traffic then Ezinearticles but the fact that I have gotten to the first page of Google with it makes a big difference in the traffic that I have seen from it.

First off your own site or blog should be the first place you put your articles, not EZA.. As I have already posted ...

    1. Create your own original unique article and post it in your site / blog first in full length.

    2. Install a blog (if you main site is a blog then install a 2nd one) on this blog you will post only a summary and link to your main site/blog article.

    3. Bookmark your original article and bookmark the blog with the summary. After bookmarking if you have Rss Feeds then submit those to Rss Directories.

    - If you use Clipmarks - What are you finding on the web? or All News, Videos, & Images you can have your article indexed within minutes.

    4. Take your orginal article and rewrite it at least 35% - there are proper spinners you can use for this process if you desire. If you have no desire to spin then just create a copy and edit the copy.

    5. Submit the copies of your article to article directories, now this is where spun articles would really help as you could provide 20 or so different copies to 20 or so different article directories.

    6. Make sure you resource box leads back to your site. If you want and the article directory allows a 2nd link you can link to one of your other articles on another article directory.

    - Changing your resource box is a good thing, just like spinning your article you should also make slight changes to your resource box.

    7. Bookmark each one of the articles you have posted on article directories. If the article directories has author Rss Feeds then submit those to Rss Directories.

    8. Use distribution services (again spun articles are great for this) such as iSnare, MyArticleNetwork, and etc... Get your spun version posted on blogs, yahoo groups, and etc..

    9. Create a beautiful looking PDF from one of the articles and start posting it on Document Sharing sites. Make sure to bookmark and submit Rss Feeds as explained above.

    - Learn about document sharing sites - Never Before Released Information! Get Targeted Traffic To Your Website Or Affiliate Links...

    10. As they say rinse and repeat....

Now since BigMike said we "are" allowed to talk about our own sites on related threads. As shown here posted by BigMike

My article directory has many articles that show above EZA in search results. ArticleProductions.com has its own directory that is 100% ad free. I actually bookmark my Authors articles into hundreds of bookmarking sites. My site is way more than just an article directory but that is one of the pwoerful tools you can use.

How do these products such as iSnare and myarticlenetwork work? Like you basically give them your article and they bookmark it and post it on article sites for you?

Also, how does iSnare + myarticlenetwork compare to your site? In what ways are they similar/different?

iSnare and MyArticleNetwork are not compared to my site at all.. Different models are used here, but iSnare does have an article directory.

iSnare will distribute your article for $2 to a bunch of sites for it to be picked up for re-publishing.

MyArticleNetwork allows you to add spun versions of articles which blog owners will review and decide if they want to re-publish the article on their blogs.

My site has many great tools to help you.. I have a full article directory that is 100% ad free also and as I said I bookmark my authors articles into hundreds of places for free... My site has tools for spinning, composing, creating articles, drip feed your blog, backlinks search with favs, article directory submission, and etc.. My site is One-Of-A-Kind!

I will also be doing some upgrades and more additions soon.

Do the sites like yours +isnare etc. help to add backlinks to your site? How many different backlinks do you think someone could get for each article they submit to a site like yours?

            Steve,
My site has no ads that show on the articles, the only links that are on your articles are yours. You can add links in the resource box (you have 2 of them) and add links in the body of the article if you wish.

Yes you will get backlinks by posting in my directory but AP also has article submission too.. This is a feature that will soon be upgraded also to the most advanced article submission you have ever seen. Fully 100% automative including creating accounts without the need to confirm an email address.

The search engines are getting smart and, in my opinion, ignore article directories. See my thread I just posted for a good linking technique: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ild-links.html

You can use software used for submitting articles to article directory. There are many and they do have trial period. Or You can outsource article submission work.

Do I need to get links on more and more websites or multiple link on one site (such as ezine) will help me get more backlinks and higher page rank. What I mean is that should I focus on backlinking from multiple sites, or multiple backlinks from one single site.
