Both a "sitemap" link and a link to our "About Us" page are located in the footer menu. Perhaps that's not obvious enough and they should be somewhere else?

I use WYSWYG type site creators. Specifically Quik Biz Sites and Weebly. There is no FTP uploading involved. The sites are created on their servers.
