I perfectly agree with you on that. Commercial keywords are the most valuable without a doubt. But if he finds a company that uses BEG as their acronym, to them the name will be valuable as well.

.CO can be considered a gTLD like .com in Google's eyes since they enabled geotargeting (http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Webmasters/thread?tid=18cfda837cec2f50&hl=en) for it.

If I had to build a website, between .co and .info, I'd undoubtedly choose .co, but given that the .info is available (assuming that .com, .net and .org are not), I'd also take it, it's just less...
