Facebook Page Likes Camaign - Different results across North America and Asia
I have a question for more experienced Facebook Ads users. My facebook page is about funny/inspirational quotes.
For my first campaign, I put the following thigns:
Objective: Facebook Page Likes
Target: 16 - 24 years old males and females who speak English and live in India or Philippines.
Interests: funny and inspirational quotes
Ad placement: Desktop News Feed and Mobile News Feed
Biddding: Let the Facebook optimize the best bid.
The results were the following:
- $0.05 per like
- $0.0027 per person reached
- For every 19.1 people reached, I received 1 page like.
I was very pleased with the results, however my primary target would be the users in North America. Therefore I decided to run a second campaign with exactly the same set up but this time target US and Canada.
The results were the following:
- $2.22 per like
- $0.021 per person reached
- For every 233.7 people reached, I received 1 page like.
I understand that targeting 1st tier countries is going to be more expensive than 3rd tier countries, however I do not understand why would the ratio of likes per reach be so different?
Like per reach (India and Philippines) = 1 to 19.1
Like per reach (Canada and United States) = 1 to 233.7
Anyone had similar experiences?
