As per title really...

Let say I have a niche idea. From here I join similar interest groups and get involved with conversations..I get that...but...

My name is Alan. ..do I use my current fb account? Or create a new one specific for my interest..ie crochet man...if it were crochet..

I make a fan page but when I post in a group it doesn't say my fan page name but my real name...

I am lost as to how to post in a group or join a conversation with anything other than my real name....I'd like my post to represent my fan page really.

Any any guidance on something that is probably basic would be appreciated...as I have clearly not got a grasp of it yet

    Create the other page, then...

Use Facebook as:” In the settings (Gear icon) menu at the top right of Facebook when you are logged in. Select the other page, the browse, post or whatever trying to do.

Have you tried going through Facebook's own how-to's? Very, very helpful.

Desktop Help Pages Managing a Page

There you will find information such as:

Can I have more than one username for my Page or profile?

No. Each person has one account and login information. Each account can have a personal profile and manage multiple Pages. Your profile can have only one username. Similarly, each Page you manage is allowed one distinct username.

Your username should be straightforward and easy to remember, since it will be the extension for your Page or profile's address. Choose a username you'll be happy with for the long term. Usernames are not transferable.

Ergo, if you want to create a Fan Page for crocheting and link it to your blog, you create a Fan Page with either a name that compliments the name of your blog/web site or is the same.

It will be linked to your profile page if you have one but no one needs to know about the number of Fan Pages you have nor that you have a profile page where you schmooze with fellow racing enthusiasts. You do not have to show your audience anything you do not want them to see. Do not confuse management with visibility and association.
