Facebook ADS cost?

Hello

I had previously used FB ads years ago for just few days but back then, I remember that I could see the estimated cost per click as you were targeting the ad, so before your ad was active.

Now I cannot see anything until actually I get the first results and from my first results, it is costing me a lot more than what I expected: nearly $2 each LIKE on my FB page.

Does it seem normal?

I choose to advertise a FB page because I remember that it used to cost less than advertise an external website but now I wonder if that is still the case, because $2 per click does not seem to be cheap.

Thank you

FB costs are crazy. You can still get cheap clicks from non top countries, which are good to test the conversions of a squeeze page (so you can then buy more targeted traffic).

In the IM niche campaigns generate likes(US,Uk,Australia,Canada) around 5-15 cents. In other niches depending on the niche and audience age(older people seem to like less and cost more at least in my niche) likes can reach 20-25 cents.

But a better way to get likes is to post content that creates engagement and likes. You just need some good posts ideas, or look at what kind of posts go viral in your niche. You should boost the posts for $5 and see which ones get traction. This is a way better way than just buying likes because it creates engagement and your next posts even if not promoted will also get a decent engagement.

sounds definitely like a good and reliable service... Obviously better than sellers on seoclerks or other platforms where sellers provide likes and always use bots and then you waste money and wonder why there's no interaction.

guys...I did not mention buying likes but buying FB ads straight from FB.

I am doing a test run with very small budget: so far 4 Likes on my FB pages costed me more than $5

I don't understand why it is so expensive.

you might be targeting the wrong audience which are not responding to your ads. i can help you to figure out right audience plus you need to create custom creatives to get cheap likes.

I pay per each like, that means that if I get zero page likes I pay nothing, so I cannot see how different audience (within the same demographic age and region) can change much the single cost for page like which at the moment is well above $1

        Here the last update:

It's probably that your targeting is a bit off. You might need to tailor your audience a little, try to hone in more on your intended market, really drill down to find out their likes and interests.

It's all trial and error really, Run a couple of different ads with the same audience or the same ad a couple of times with a different audience and discard the one that isn't performing. After that you can work on tweaking the ad that's performing the best. You won't always get it right, but what your doing with a small budget test run is a good way to learn and figure out your audience.

FB ads cost nowaday more and more expensive due to there have many advertisers joining daily. In order to reduce the cost, we need to find another ways to make creative contents, images to get more attractive and engagement, then the cost is reduced.

Something really doesn't check out there, but I can't see exactly what. Like others said, maybe it is the type of product you are promoting?

well that's why I am here, I was hoping someone expert would know what to look...I am just promoting a simple FB page.

EDIT: I just found this...apparently I am not the only one with this problem...FB is after money:
