FB Ads - can you use subdomains / folders for aff links?

Hey everyone,

I've looked into this in a lot of places and only got mixed info.

Let's say I was promoting an affiliate product from CB - say something on paleo recipes.

For the Facebook ad's URL, can I use 'somesubdomain.mygenericdomain.com' and redirect it to my aff link, or a folder like "mygenericdomain.com/paleo/" and redirect that?

Would really love to have some concrete information on how other marketers are approaching this.

you can create a php redirect

or find a redirection plugin, I'm sure using a subdomain wouldn't be a problem but the link under the headline would look weird

Yep, no problems creating the redirect

Just wanted to be sure FB is ok with those links.

I do agree that the subdomain would look weird.
