I made my first design at godaddy
now i want to tranfer the design i have in hostgator to godaddy's site
how to do so ?

    It might not be fun. But I should be able to help. Godaddy also has great customer service and will guide you; however, its the strings you will have a problem with. You should be able to use filezilla, they will give you the address and you will transfer SQL and WP-Content Folder.

    Once this is done you might be able to use a plug-in to change the url strings but that didnt work for me.

    I had to export the database from PHP Admin and do a search and replace.Let me know how you do on this because I just did it successfully. Though it was difficult to figure out the solution isnt that difficult itself.

    You sound like your website is built using clean html/css etc. If so, you need to log into your old provider's hosting account and download all the files via FTP/file manager. Then you'll need to upload the same files using FTP/file manager.

    If you want to transfer you domain from godaddy or anyother hosting provider, you need these information as follows below:
    1) Domain Unlock state
    2) Authorization code or EPP code

    If you want to transfer your hosted files in godaddy to your preferred hosting provider, you need to have active cPanel of both existing and new hosting service.
    - Go to cPanel > Files section> Backup
    you have to take the backup of your files which you want to migrate the files with another provider
    - Once backup completed, Download the backup file
    - Go to New cPanel account > File Manger > Upload
    Upload the backup files under the public_html, then extract the files
    - Once you uploaded the files, you can access use the new service

    Once you change the domain provider, you need to change the nameservers with new DNS records.
