I run blog www.goodvitae.com and recently google AdSense suggested me to reduce duplicate content which I think is due to site design as most of it is internal duplication. So can someone give me some suggestions? Also should I index category pages of my site?

Hi Ketan, the duplicate content can hurt your ranking on search engines. You need to do some work. I have a good resource that might help you fix your problems here https://moz.com/learn/seo/duplicate-content. Good luck to you!

  • You can design according to user perspective first. So duplicate issue also removed from your website and ad-sense will approved on your website.

Duplicate content, even if its internal can affect your site's SEO in a nagative way. But in my opinion, writing fresh content is a better solution than changing the design of your site

Hi Ketan. If the AdSense team have suggested you need to do something, you should listen. Run your content thru copyscape & see what comes up. The major search engines are after quality, fresh content to inform & educate users.
Your slider runs way too fast to absorb what's on offer. Think about what you want your visitors to do when they reach your site. There's a great deal of whitespace on my desktop, looks better on a hand held device though.
    Pop-ups are a distraction too.
    Good luck.

Yes, I do agree with the suggestions mentioned above. However, to add to these suggestions, you need to think from Google's point of view. Google aims to provide the best search experience. There are very rare chances of showing multiple versions of the same content in the results. Do your research by going through the top blogs and industry trends with convincing statistics. This will add value and originality to your content. If you offer valuable content to the users, search engines will prefer your content.
