Is it better to create best ever content or spend this time backlinking?

    I'd say that both are equally important and both go hand in hand. But if I had to choose between the two, I'd go for a high-quality content.

    The main reason is that engaging content is for your users, whereas backlinking aims at pure SEO purposes. A crisp copy encourages readers to engage with your site, drive impressions for ad space, buy your products, and fill out lead forms. Without content, no one would want to give you a reference. Plus, even if you don't boost your rankings, compelling content gets natural backlinks per se and works across all chanells.

    On the flip side, the Internet is so filled with great pieces that it's difficult to make yours stand out, so you'll have to help it rank higher, i.e. create a backlink strategy.

    Nevertheless, I'd still bet on content. Content is a King.

    I will suggest creating the best valuable content. If the content is good, you will anyways start getting natural backlinks from your visitors. That's the reason, it is always said ''Content is king''.

    Quality content is paramount, but you also have to make sure you know who you want to reach first. A great piece on home-made pies won't help you if you want to attract candle makers. Likewise, where you place links and how you do it is just as important for reaching the right audience. Consider other traffic generation methods as well once you have the goods on your site. Let's not forget that aesthetics, usability, and page speed are huge matters for keeping people on your site long enough to see whether they resonate with your content.
