How do I add content above a shortcode in the Classic Editor?

Please Help.

I created a shortcode with JavaScript that is a text box for visitors that is working perfectly.

I am using the Classic Editor because I hate working with the Blocks and I always have issues with it when I try it again.

I am using the Astra theme.

You used to be able to simply put content above or below a shortcode and that is the way it would show up when published. Now apparently the only way to do that is when using the block editor. I have searched here, Youtube, and search engines and I can't find a way to do this.

I need to add some content below the header but above the text box that displays from the shortcode.

Does anyone know a workaround to accomplish this?

Thanks for considering this.

Never mind. I figured out a way to scrunch the content into the heading area. I love the Astra theme except the limitations for your header in the free version.

I would delete the thread but I can't see a way to do that.

    Success to everyone!

The maybe not so easy answer is to insert a widget.

Could be as easy as this: ( https://www.inmotionhosting.com/supp...%2Dhand%20side. )

or it may get more technical like this: ( https://www.wproots.com/advanced-wordpress-widgets/ )

I have used both of these options - depending on the theme. I personally have no experience with Astra.

    Hope that Helps!

Thanks. Yes, I used a widget similar to your first how-to article, which I never thought about using in a header. When I get some time I might experiment with what is described in your 2nd article. It looks like I would have more options to customize things even more.

Taking a theme I am familiar with "StoreFront" I use the free version and have programmed "plugins" to give me the ability of the pay version and beyond.

with most themes you should be able to find a tutorial on how to program your free version to match the ability of the paid version. I have more than a few of these throughout the internet for different themes ( but not the one you are using ) and unfortunately each theme is "different" ( location names - if that makes sense ) so the "thing" is universal, but the tag that identifies the location is different
