Thoughts on my latest website

Hey, I'm wondering if it's possible you could review my latest website, it's called Bwello and it's a place for people to interact with other gamers. The site focuses on flash games mainly and we're getting some multiplayer games built, at the minute we're focusing on adding games and creating interaction between like-minded gamers.

Anyways, I don't want to bore you and/or babble on any more, so here's the URL:

Also just to confirm it's coded/designed from scratch.

    Well done. The color is clean and the template making it easy to read. The logo is neat, very representative for gaming site.

        Overall, I think the design is excellent. The colors blend in well together and the website looks very professional.

        A couple of suggestions for improvement:
        -I think that the paragraphs on the "About us" page (and other pages as well) need to be in black instead of gray. That will improve your site from a readability standpoint.
        -Also, I think you need to address how your gaming site is unique. There are probably hundreds (if not thousands) of gaming sites already in existence. Why should people spend time on yours?
        -One last thing: on the blog, you seem to be having issues with spam. You should probably install some sort of spam protection to protect against this.

        Overall, I think you are off to a great start. Nice job!

      Hey dude, thanks a lot for the constructive criticism, really appreciate it. I tried black but it seems too dark for the design. And I believe we're unique with the whole site in general, we offer a social aspect, no hugely because we're not a Facebook. We offer profiles we're users and interact and connect with other users. Also, we have a Top Users table that encourages users to play more, future plans for this is the top 3 people will receive prices.

      Sorted the spam comments on the blog, strange how the got through, already marked them as spam a while back.

    Very clean website, very sharp. I like how you bring the community aspect to gaming.

    The register button glitch also happens in Opera, BTW.

    Other than that, very impressive. How long has the site been up?

    I found the register link just by typing /register ..

    What I meant to say is that those register links are either an image or a button .. I have images off , and it makes harder to find it for ppl like me , you should have your design TEXT based too !

      The site has been up about 2/3 days, can you screenshot me that please? I would appreciate it greatly

    You could make the pictures for the game bigger. I couldn't see the images clearly, and that IS what people look for to get a concept of the game.
