Help With Wordpress Design

Well assuming you have a theme that offers a top menu and you have that set up.
When you add a page it will be seen there, say "Animals", then when you post a new page, on the right hand site of you admin panel you should be able to select "parent directory" the new page might be "Tigers" in the parent directory of "animals".

Yup just like that. Just to take it a step further you can reorder those pages to your liking by putting them in a numbered order using that same sidebar in your page admin panel.

If you have theme which supports the latest WordPress 3 Menu manager, then you can have your menus ordered just about any way you like.

If its in your theme then you will find it under APPEARANCE -> MENUS

Most up to date professionally supported themes will have this feature built in already. Older themes might not have it though.

Or better find a theme that is built the way you want. So you can easily just edit the menus.

Hello.....................

I'm a graphic designer and though there are tons (!) of free wordpress themes, I cannot find the one that suits my specific needs. How much would it cost me to hire a professional wp coder/CSS guru/wordpress theme developer? I'd deliver the homepage and subpages (up to 4) as a photoshop template, along with instructions, how it should work.

You can definitely use WordPress to design almost any website you can think of.

As for hosting, Bluehost is the number one rated host for WordPress:
