Sticky post in Wordpress has highlighted background

Anyone know how to stop this, it's really frustrating. Whenever I sticky a post to my wordpress homepage it has a highlighted background on my post.

    Check your CSS files. That's where different effects like that are applied.

    You'd have to link it so we can help. It definitely sounds like a CSS issue and there is a style being a applied. If we could look at your code we can tell you what to remove or go in and take it out.

    Hi,

    As said before, it's a css issue.

    You could check your source code, figure out the name of the style surrounding that area and go in and edit it.

    Oh and this is a common thing that happens with a lot of wordpress themes when a post is stickied.
