Hi,

Honestly the lines are a bit thick, also the colors rather basic. Try thinning the lines and adding some gradient shading to improve the overall look. The blue probably looks the best right now.

Hi there,

I agree with mgreener you should decrease the thickness of those lines. Also I would suggest to use an interesting background for them I guess a nice looking paper background would look sweet for them. Have a look here 200+ High Quality Free Paper Background Textures to Grab
The last thing I think you can improve is decrease the font size for the bottom text "This is special box" and how about adding some shadows thought I'm not sure about shadows.

I just found this picture http://www.neckinjury.info/images/testimonial1.jpg I guess you could try to create something like that. Picture makes it more personal thus people will take it more seriously.

Hi Jumpa,

I could very well imagine this on a page for toys, children's books, or something along that line. Looks very "childish" (which is not negative!).

I don't see it on any "serious" page.

A texture on the top and bottom pieces would look nice. Also, don't crowd the text, open up the spacing if needed, or reduce the curve of the lines. I say it's a good start!

Colors must be changed to something like gray, light gray etc., and the lines can be dotted and remove the text "This is special box" at the bottom.

The lines around the pink and yellow one are very overpowering especially the pink one.

maybe thin them and pick a shade of the box colour but 3 or 5 shades darker?

that way it will be more in keeping.

It would suit a very simple website design and the thick lines would work in a similar designed website, e.g. cartoon style block colours with enhanced edges

Well, jumpa, I looked at the boxes, but without seeing the rest of the site these boxes would be used on, I'm not sure how anyone can give any real critique? It's like trying to critique a single line from a Shakespearean play without the surrounding context it came from? Maybe the example is dramatic, but you get the point, hopefully.

as long as i know, the aim of special box is to attract visitor. special box usually used for testimonial, order box, special bonus, and also squeeze page.

I don't know if I'm a huge fan of the colors, they seem a bit to plain and strong, but it's a cool design. Guess it's also dependent on the style of your site and the overall theme too.

I'm a fan of the yellow one. Sort of looks like a sticky note and has a more catching, but not too strong color. Also has good contrast. Much better.

You've done a great job on these last two designs, I like them much better than the initial 4. Although, as someone earlier said, the first ones, would certainly be suitable and fit in very well on a kids site.
