Convert Post to Page WP

WEB DESIGN

How can I go about converting my post to pages on WP? Is there a function or plugin in WP for doing this?

I had considered just copying my post and pasting into a page and then deleting my post...good or bad idea?

Hi, you can do it the way that you say or you can install a plugin to do it for you - helpful if you have a number of posts/pages to convert. Has your site already been indexed?

Then to avoid losing the benefits of indexing on the posts you should use a 301 redirect for the posts. There is an article here that you might find helpful on some plugins that you could use to acheive this How To Redirect Wordpress Permalinks Using WP Permalink PlugIn

My question is .....do you really need to change your blog structure?

  Well I basically hate everything about the layout navigation. The redundancy of the "categories and latest post". I don't like how the page displays when you click on a category. It only shows a few lines or paragraph.
  
  I guess I'm just more accustomed with the static page and navigation on a website. I wanted to try WP, not to blog but put up static pages as with a website. Maybe this was/is a bad idea.

  I agree with Leanne King , p2pconverter is a great plugin for convert post into pages and vice versa through an easy to use interface, anyway the manual way is another option.

  p2converter says compatible up to 2.6...I got 2.7
  
  So will this work ok with 2.7?
