Virus on website

Hi to all, I have recently set up my first website using wordpress, I tried to log in to my dashboard but my anti virus program gave an alert saying a virus (html iframe-inf) was infecting the website. I then tried the web address but this error message came up Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '?' in /home/vcr1036/public_html/index.php on line 18
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

    Hi Vic200

    Did you setup WordPress manually (uploading files, creating a MySQL database yourself) or did you use Fantastico on your hosting account?

    I can't vouch for this - but I found HTML:Iframe-inf wordpress Infection | fields marshall when I Googled "html iframe-inf". This website gives instructions (with a video) that claims to remove it.

    Barbara's video is probably your best answer - however if you set it up with Fantastico and haven't used it yet it might be worth just uninstalling and reinstalling it. I have seen installations where Fantastico bombed a WordPress installation, reinstalling it worked fine.

      Yeah, I don't trust Fantastico.

      It screwed up my Joomla installation 3 times in a row.

      Tried it manually and it worked straight away :p
