I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for good logo design tutorials using Adobe Illustrator?

I am looking to create stuff like the examples below. They are cartoonish but with a very polished and professional look. I would love to be able to do something like this.

I would also be interested in trying another software if it gives me the right results.

Well, the software is just a minor part of it. It's a tool.

You could give me the same tools as Michelangelo used (a hammer and chisel) and I wouldn't be able to make a sculpture like his David...

OK, logos and banners and similar stuff are not really the masterpieces of a genius - however, too often people tend to forget about the important ingredient called "talent".

Not sure I'd agree with that completely. You're basically assuming that talent is an inbuilt trait that cannot be learned.

Sure, some people will not be able to do something, regardless of how much time they put into it, but with time and effort, trial and error "talent" can be acquired by most.

There is no tutorial for making logos.
As Istvan mentioned this is a tool that gives you everything you need to create a logo...

If you're looking for inspiration then look for logos that you like and take elements of what you like then combine them all.

If Softwares gave us all the answers most graphic designers would be out of the job heh.

I am afraid you are confusing talent and skills...

An aptitude is a component of a competency to do a certain kind of work at a certain level, which can also be considered "talent". Aptitudes may be physical or mental. Aptitude is not knowledge, understanding, learned or acquired abilities (skills) or attitude. The innate nature of aptitude is in contrast to achievement, which represents knowledge or ability that is gained

I want to be able to design logos like the talented professionals out there. However, I don't have the desire or time to learn so can someone just point me in the direction to some Adobe Illustrator tutorials?

Is this what everyone here read in the op?
He is just asking for some Illustrator tutorials so he can begin learning how to create those logos on the most commonly used tool out there.

He didn't say he's talented; he didn't say he's untalented. He just asked for a simple guide to get started.

Can someone please answer the question this guy ask?

Leave the talent or no talent issue.

      Thanks

I love Lynda.com for tutorials. There's video which is a must for me. I haven't tried the Illustrator tutorials but the Photoshop tutorials are really good.

There are some things about the tools that do automatically give you a good result. for instance almost all of your examples make use of a gradient. This tool goes a long way toward achieving that polished look you spoke of. In almost every case what you have is a text /name or object where a fancy font is used and the fill is a gradient fill. Just learning how to take advantage of these tools will get you a long ways. Google the terms' Photoshop Gradient tool tutorials" you might also want to look up how to create a drop shadow.. Those are just a couple of tricks that once you have become comfortable with them you will begin to see more cool ways to employee them.

In the end it all comes down to practice, practice, practice

The bulk of graphic design boils down to principles of design, which can be learned.

However, creativity, and practical application of design principles in such a way that's visually appealing, including color choices, is always the final decision of the designer, and all designers are individuals, and will have different solutions.

Creativity or imagination cannot be taught. Principles and techniques can be taught. If you already have a creative eye and imagination, you are light years ahead of someone who does not. They can be trained to be a graphic designer and still succeed, it's just harder if you do not have natural ability.

Going to college for Graphic Design really helps alot, because your work is critiqued and picked apart, which helps you to get honest, and see your progress and what you need to improve in your design skills.
