Feedback on website design

Hi guys and girls, created a website design for a friend and was wondering if I can get some feed back on it. The only thing I am thinking about adding is a pattern to either the pink or grey nav bar.. haven't decided yet. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

    Very clean layout. From just what I’m seeing here you have a very effective site. The only thing I would suggest is if you are posting content to have a sharing plugin. Sociable is a good one.

    Very nice clean design, i like it! Yes, you could add some wide darker stripes on the header menu, should look nice. But just a tad darker than the background. Keep up the good work!

    - Having a light texture/pattern in the grey background would be a nice idea.
    - The grey navigation bar could be darker (don't put any pattern there).
    - Reword to "Raise money for cancer research and help women all around the world."
    - Consider making the "Donate" button much MUCH bigger. I have a feeling that's your target action.

    The only change I would seriously see as crucial would be use of a different font. Cursive fonts like the one used for "Upcoming events" is rather hard to read, and depending on what font you used, it might not have the best cross-browser compatibility. If you'd like to talk some more about UX, feel free to message me.

    Very nice work. I agree that you should think about adding a pattern to the nav or background. It's a little plain in those areas and that should help a lot.
