Please review the new design

we have recently changed our club theme with lot of colors on page. The intention was to highlight festival of different region of world. We recently have holi festival celebrated in India region where people apply color to each other. We found this festival really amazing. Additionally we promoted festival by embedding a youtube video Please review and give your valuable feedback and suggestions.

    I like the general layout, it's nice and clean....
    I'm using Mozilla with a 1600x900 screen resolution...
    I see a solid pink background to the left and an image to the right
    The bg image doesn't appear to be centered or go all the way to the top of the page.

    I don't know if that was done on purpose, but it looks sort of off.
    I'm wondering if too much color makes your site look too busy...
    I would probably think about changing the menu links at the top to white
    and I would convert the green buttons to a color that would blend in better with your background.

    I also noticed the font size under the Blogpic Blogger Club and the Tag Cloud
    are EXTREMELY LARGE. You might want to bring down the font size because
    some of the words appear to be overlapping.

    Overall, I think it's a good looking site..
    I would just fix the background, reduce some of the font sizes,
    change the color of the menu text and change the color of the green buttons.

    I personally am not a fan of sites that play any music when I first get there. Let alone, no why to turn it off. If there is no way of turning it off, perhaps consider adding that option(if there is, I just didnt see it.

    I agree with Kevin as well. The image to the right and that the tag cloud text is HUGE.

    Like the bright pink color though.

      What you feel music should not be on autoplay ? I think music add an attention to user to search it's coming from....

        Me personally, I don't think it should be auto play. I can see sometimes if a site has a huge video up top that has a delayed start that talks about their product/service.
        But music that auto starts and I have to look to see how to disable it, no, that I dis-like.
        Yes, you can just hit mute on your keyboard, but if my speakers were cranked up pretty high from something earlier today, and now I come to your site, it loads and Boom, I get an ear full. Im going to look for the close button right away and may not return.

        As for it being an attention getter. Yes it is, it got my attention in an annoying way, making me fumble to find where to deactivate it and in the process getting someone a bit more annoyed with the site. Causing a person to just leave.

        Again, this is just my opinion on sites with music on auto play.

    Ok, everything said above plus:

    1) It's 2013, increase the blog width!

    2) Use at least 1 font-face since we're talking about design here. My recommendations: open sans, maven pro, ubuntu (search on google web fonts = free)

    3) Below the Blogpico Blogger club, is that a tag cloud?? If it is not, what is it? If it is, why isn't it clickable?

    4) Would definitely create a more catchy logo, this one doesn't convey anything.

    5) Refunds, tags, terms of service do not belong in the top navigation.

    Correcting myself here about the music. It was the video that was autoplaying, so I suppose that has a stop button, but again, not sure how others agree to having it on auto.

    It's a nice looking site. I like the background image fixed its a nice touch to allow the content to flow over it. The colours contrast well with each other and it allows an eye-catching atmosphere at first view.

    I would say a couple of things though that could make it even better!
    The website would look much more professional if the video was self hosted, not embedded from youtube.
    You could get a favicon (the small icon next to the url).
    The contents in some areas could be presented a bit better to make it easier to read.
    I wouldn't put the video on the sidebar put it at the top of the content so that it is the first thing that the person that is visiting sees. Also don't have it on autoplay at the start. Thats annoying!

    But you've done a very good job with this! I like it!

    Get rid of the autoplay music. That stuff was cute 12 years ago, but not these days.

    Fix the background. I imagine anyone with a poorly calibrated monitor could have their corneas burnt out by such a bright color. More neutral colors are appropriate. Black, white, gray, blue.

    The landing page is a mess. My eyes were all over the place. I couldn't tell where I was supposed to read first or where the important information was. Try and make it flow and get viewers eyes directed to your CTAs after reading the important tidbits.
