Multi language wordpress site design
I've recently been commissioned to do a multi-language site for a small Japanese company. The owner of the company is telling me that I should use multiple Wordpress installations for the different languages. I'm arguing for WPML. It's cleaner, one installation, one login, one place to do all the work on the backend, etc.
Since SEO is one of the main reasons he wants to redesign the website with Wordpress (they're currently using MT), do you have any insight on how one instance of WP vs multiple instances per language might affect SEO? Any other pros or cans you can think of re: WPML vs. multiple instances of wordpress?
